The role is currently 100% working from home however some travel to our London office will be required in the future.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• You will be joining our ever-expanding data engineering team as it grows to meet the needs Architect, design and deploy Azure Landing Zones (Azure foundation platform) using Infrastructure-as-Code methods (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform and PowerShell)
• Leading both waterfall and agile cloud migrations and cloud transformation projects.
• Following Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD) best-practices using Azure DevOps build and release pipelines.
• Contributing to our centralised code base.
• Leading customer facing design workshops.
• Authoring High Level Design (HLD), Low Level Design (LLD) and conceptual design documentation to a high technical standard.
• Provide guidance to clients on Azure platform enhancements, ensuring industry and Microsoft best practice are adhered to.
• Advise and guide clients on technical solutions which meet their requirements.
• Working alongside other practices i.e., Development and data from an infrastructure perspective to architect and implement solutions which meet the client requirements.
• Leading client facing Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions.
• Ensuring Microsoft and industry security best practices are adhered to.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and ability to align these principles to cloud delivery projects.

Working alongside the capability leads to outline tasks and estimate effort for Statements of Work (SoW).

Skills, Knowledge and qualification

• At least 2 years’ experience in Azure Administrator role and at least 6months delivering Azure infrastructure, including but not limited to IaaS Compute, Storage, Networks, Monitoring, Management, Backup.
• Azure Administration – minimum AZ-104 certified. AZ-305 will be an advantage.
• At least 1 year in a client facing role.
• Demonstrable risk management knowledge
• Experience working within an Agile team environment.
• Experience implementing highly available infrastructure.
• Understanding of Management Groups, Subscriptions, Resource Groups, Role Based Access Control (RBAC), Azure Policy for compliance and security, formulating Azure Tagging strategies for cost management + billing and automation purposes.
• Experience implementing Hub-Spoke network topologies, Virtual Network (vNET) peering, Route Tables, Network Security Groups (NSG), Public IP addresses (PIP), Site-to-Site VPN, Azure load-balancers, and Application Gateways Web Application Firewall (WAF).
• Experience in at least two of the following network services – Azure Firewall, Network Virtual appliances (NVA) and Azure Virtual WAN.
• Experience deploying and configuring Log Analytics workspaces.
• Experience implementing Azure Backup and configuring backup polices.
• Experience implementing Azure Key Vault and collecting secrets during the deployment using ARM templates.
• Experience deploying Virtual Machines using specific VM SKU types.
• Experience deploying Virtual Machines using specific Azure Disk requirements including, managed disk types, data redundancy and access tiers.
• Experience deploying Highly Available Virtual Machines using Availability Sets & Availability Zones.
